Where: Charleswood Mennonite Church, corner of Haney and Eldridge (2 blocks from McDonalds on Grant and Haney) in Winnipeg

Help support the campaign to end the nearly 50-year old U.S. Blockade of Cuba.

This is the 20th year for the P4P Friendshipment Caravan to Cuba. It will pass through 120 cities in Canada and the U.S. on 14 different routes which will converge in Texas to cross the border into Mexico together later in July. From there, a barge will take the donated material to Cuba.

The Winnipeg event will feature a guest speaker from Pastors for Peace — Jim Bouman, as well as other Caravan participants, speakers from the local Cuban and Cuba-solidarity communities. You’ll be able to hear about other Cuba events coming up this summer, including the Cuban Pavilion at Folklorama.

Charitable tax receipts will be available for donations, so please bring your chequebooks. For anyone who can’t attend but would like to make a donation, they can be mailed to Manitoba-Cuba Solidarity Committee, P.O. Box 2231, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R5. Make the cheque out to: Manitoba-Cuba Solidarity Committee with the notation that it is for Pastors for Peace.
