Winnipeggers gathered at the Manitoba Legislative Building on August 6, 2022, to commemorate the 1945 atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
This year, Lanterns for Peace was sponsored by Peace Alliance Winnipeg, the Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba, the Council of Canadians (Winnipeg Chapter) and the Winnipeg Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
