Canadian School of Peacebuilding: Story and Song

Spread the love

Location: Canadian Mennonite University, 600 Shaftesbury Blvd (south side multi-purpose room/chapel)

Canadian School of Peacebuilding is having an evening of Story + Song.  As part of that evening, Piet will give an address, entitled Ukubuyisha – The Cleansing of the Spears: Experiences of reconciliation and healing in Africa and other parts of the world.  Singer-Songwriter Cara Luft, former founding member of the Wailin’ Jennys, will perform.  Dessert will be provided by High Tea Bakery.  Admission is free, and we will be accepting donations to support the CSOP.  We know that it is too far for many of you to come for this event, but we hope it will work for some of you to join us.  Please pass this information on to anyone you know who will be in the Winnipeg area on March 15 and might interested in coming.

The other part of the event is a one-day workshop led by Piet Meiring entitled, The  Perennial Quest for Truth and Reconciliation: Learning from one another’s experiences on March 14, from 9:00 – 4:00. More information is available at http://csop.cmu.ca/index.php/special-events/.
