Peace Alliance Winnipeg joins anti-fighter jet campaign

The Canadian government is planning to purchase 88 new warplanes, for a sticker price of $19 billion and a total cost of at least $77 billion. Peace Alliance Winnipeg joined organizations across Canada in a week of activities designed to oppose this colossal waste of money. PAW members handed out leaflets at the intersection of River Avenue and Osborne Street on Sundday (Nov. 28) and plans to continue on successive weekends.
