A socialist propaganda film disguised as a children’s film\, the satirical La torta in cielo (1973\, Lino Del Fra) begins as a flying UFO-sized cake symbolizing socialism crashes into an impoverished Roman suburb\, and is quickly claimed by the children of the underclass. But just as they are celebrating their good fortune\, the adult forces of capitalism—army\, media\, police\, and profit-driven scientific industry—descend to attempt to steal\, spread lies\, and destroy their treasure.
