Dr. MacQueen has bravely and cogently pointed towards 9/11. It is left to all in gatekeeper roles to allow room and time for his words to sink in, and for others to emerge from under their beds too scared to admit the logical implications.
Thank you to the peacealliancewinnipeg.

Thanks to Justin for breaking the ice on the comments. My own analyses is that 9/11 exposes a hidden in plain sight organization supersedes civil society and civil control of government.
9/11 implies the highest levels of our armed forces and government are staffed by conspirators loyal to this hidden in plain sight organization.
If I follow Justin's well expressed comments I believe he is saying You get the government you deserve. I am saying this cliche should be juxtaposed to Bob Marley's lyrics You stab me in the back and then you say I wasn't looking.
To ignore the systemic vote counting fraud so well documented in the USA is no less a handicap to peace than thinking NORAD commanded by a Canadian on 9/11 couldn't scramble jet fighters if needed.
Thanks again to peacealliancewinnipeg and I hope there is room for a permanent 9/11 peace link on the opening web page.

The idea of having the NGO,the UN and the US bypassing the Haitian Government in the distribution of good and services presumably because of so called irregularities is incompatible with the Haitian sovereignty.
Despite of their so called know how, expertise, efficiency and integrity those foreign agencies are unable to alleviate the suffering of the earthquake victims nearly after two consecutive months in the driving seat. The proof is in the pudding. Who is/are the inept and the venal? It is not the Haitian government.

Dr. MacQueen near the end says you cannot claim to understand war if you do not understand the incidents that trigger it. The incidents that trigger war are many -- some involving staged incidents -- but the true underlying cause is not these incidents but the politics pursued by governments which create the conditions for war and agression. That has always been the queston which needs to be addressed.

Canada should support peace and justice for all people. Aid should be beyond narrow partesian politics. I want my tax dollars to help those most traumatized in Gaza.
I look forward to your reply.

Hey Margie. So Professor Boyle was duped by Alex Jones eh? Next you'll be telling us that that Kumbaya is an old pagan word from central Africa that means The Left is Right. Look, anti-war activists come in all political shades and nationalities. Alex Jones supports them all, loudly and proudly. Lack of appreciation for that is divisive. Remember the old saying 'divide and conquer'?

Boyle isn't the only "progressive-minded" (as opposed to "paleoconservative") American to appear on the Alex Jones Show. Jones has also hosted Green Party presidential candidate Ralph Nader, peace activist Cindy Sheehan and feminist author Naomi Wolf. A frequent guest from this side of the border is the eminent Canadian scholar and founder of GlobalResearch.ca, Michel Chossudovsky.

While mindreading is a futile exercise, perhaps all of these folks see something positive in Jones and his program that you do not.

He is a fierce opponent of American militarism abroad and the alarming drift towards a police state at home.

While one might disagree with his libertarian take on many issues (and I do), I see no evidence of bigotry.

Like it or not, it takes all kinds of folk in a big tent to bring the American imperial machine to a halt. Alex Jones is playing a positive part in that struggle by bringing an uncompromising antiwar message to an audience the American left (or the Canadian left) could only dream of reaching.

There is a lesson here for peace activists if they are open to learning it.

I applaud Francis Boyle for launching a complaint with the International Criminal Court against extraordinary renditions, one of the many crimes of George W. Bush & Co. This is entirely consistent with Boyle’s specialization in international law and long record of progressive political activism. I have to wonder, though, why he agreed to speak about his initiative on the Alex Jones show, and whether this will indeed give his story the “big boost” that it deserves.

Alex Jones is a self-described paleoconservative, an isolationist rather than an internationalist, an adherent of one of the most odious forms of American conservatism, which last flowered during the heyday of the John Birch Society. American lefties give Jones a wide birth, not because of his histrionics, but because of his bigotry, opposition to social democracy, immigration, affirmative action, etc., and his fierce advocacy for frontier-style individualism and American supremacy.

Perhaps Boyle was misled by Jones’ rants against a competing form of American conservatism, i.e., the neoconservatism of the Bush administration and their cruel imperialism on the international stage. On the other hand, perhaps he knows Jones’ isolationist and individualistic political philosophy and saw an opportunity to publicly demonstrate a citizen-of-the-world alternative to American exceptionalism. Whatever the case, I hope that the ICC and progressive-minded Americans do not dismiss his action because of the optics of his appearance on the Alex Jones show.
