Please join us for the annual Winnipeg Peace & Justice Festival & Walk.

Date: Saturday, June 15, 2013
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Place: Vimy Ridge Park (south side of Portage Avenue at Home Street)

Show the world you care about peace and justice at home and around the world. Enjoy activities and musical entertainment for all ages, including a Peace Crafts Tent for children and adults. Food and refreshments.

This year’s Festival and Peace Walk is dedicated to the memory of Nick Ternette, a beloved social justice activist who led many of the peace walks held in Winnipeg over the last few decades, including last year’s event. If you’ve never been to the annual Winnipeg Peace & Justice Festival & Walk, this video, recorded last year, will give you an idea of what’s involved.

Program:

11:00 a.m.        Craft Tent opens
12:00 Noon      Welcoming speeches
12:30 p.m.        Peace Walk begins (map)
2:00 p.m.           A musical program, including the Flaming Trolleys, Sarah Kreindler, Mary McCandless and Ian & Emily.
