“Chalk4Peace” is a very simple, fun and inexpensive way for masses of people to express themselves through the non violent act of chalk drawing (which is not illegal, nor vandalism).
This is a very grassroots event free for the community which raises awareness about global peace and takes donations for War Child Canada.
All entertainment is done on volunteer basis in order to raise as much for the cause as possible. Musicians play in the park setting while the public enjoy and write/ draw peaceful messages on the concrete sidewalks with chalk.
This is not a political event, just a peaceful one that puts our city on the map and brings people together to be creative and peaceful/ playful.
