On Saturday, July 29 about 150 people staged a two hour demonstration at the corner of Portage and Main to protest the continued Israeli aggression against Lebanon. This was the second such demonstration in as many weeks.
Members of the Lebanese, Palestinian and Jewish communities were joined by others in denouncing the Israeli aggression which to date has claimed some 600 lives and resulted in the destruction of much of Lebanon’s infrastructure.
The Canadian government’s support for the Israeli military action was also condemned by the demonstrators.
